Margot Robbie Is Pregnant! Actress Expecting Her First Baby with Husband Tom Ackerley

The ‘Barbie’ star and her director husband have been married since 2016

Margot Robbie is pregnant!

Multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE that the Barbie star, 34, and husband Tom Ackerley are expecting their first baby.

Representatives for both stars did not respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.

Robbie and Ackerley, also 34, first met in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française, where he was an assistant director and she was in front of the camera.

They then married in December 2016 during a private ceremony in Australia’s Byron Bay. The two never announced their engagement prior to their wedding.

Robbi and Ackerley were friends first and worked together on the production company LuckyChap on a four-person producing team that also includes Robbie’s childhood friend Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara.

The company has produced several films and television series, including I, Tonya, Birds of Prey and Barbie — all of which starred Robbie.

Last month, Ackerley opened up to The Sunday Times about how he and Robbie balance their personal and professional lives.

“[We spend] 24 hours a day [together],” he said. “It’s seamless. We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.”
